Comas Hydraulic Power Pack Upgrade - Tanzania

2010 was a big year for South Africa as we were preparing for the Soccer In 2010 and it was massive for us as we were in the process of major hydraulic repairs and refurbishments for a customer in Tanzania. The deadlines were also very strict on this project.

17 hydraulic cylinders and a Comas press power pack were shipped to us by our customer with a brief to service, repair and manufacture new cylinders if need be as well as to upgrade a hydraulic power pack, all within a few months.

With the project having a tight deadline, we also faced the challenges of pirates attacking commercial shipping liners off the coast of Somalia on route to port in Dar es Salaam.

 

We were fortunate in being able to meet our deadline as well as our cargo arriving safely in Tanzania.

 

This project allowed us to secure another project the following year to build two hydraulic compacting presses which we commissioned alongside onsite hydraulic upgrade work.
