Hydraulic Room Upgrade - Malawi
We were approached by a customer from Malawi in 2006 that were looking to carry out upgrades to their hydraulics in their factory.
Our primary concern was that their were power packs situated all over the factory and the product they were producing could potentially become compromised if there were ever to be a oil leak.

We completed a survey of the site and recommended that a centralised hydraulic room be considered for all their power packs as well as in some instances, increase the capacities of the tanks; pumps and electric motors.
We designed and fabricated a number of hydraulic power pack locally and freighted them, along with nearly 2,000m of scheduled tubing and other spares that would be needed to complete the desired upgrades to the hydraulic systems.

Once the spares had arrived in Malawi, our team travelled to carry out the work of relocating the hydraulic power packs into a central hydraulic room and running the scheduled tubing from the room to each point of use.
We had the opportunity to return to the site in both 2010 and 2019 and saw the benefits of the upgraded system.
It was a moment that we got to see our recommendations and ingenuity had stood the test of time as well as seeing the success of a project that we will forever be proud of not only having the opportunity of being apart of but completing as well.
