Ionizer Project (Static Electricity)

An evolution of a project we had previously work on however in this instance, our customer had a security issue with static electricity building up as a result of a conveyor belt rubbing against the conveyor bed.

Operators were being shocked when they picked up parts being transferred on the conveyor as the operator acted as a conductor and earthed the static electricity charge.

Having travelled to site and carrying out a static charge test, static electricity register over 10,000 volts on our electrostatic meter. We travelled to site and carried out a static charge test, registering over 10,000 volts of static electricity on our Electrostatic meter.

 

A concept was designed that would eliminate the static charge and safeguard the operator.

Our concept was presented to the customer (who was skeptical) however they gave us the go-ahead and our results were incredible.

 

Once the installation was complete, we performed the static test again and we were able to completely neutralise the static charge, ensuring safety at all times for the operators.
